This spring, the Center for Latino Arts and Culture is proud to host the inaugural gathering of the newly established Latino Alumni Association at Rutgers University (LAARU). Please join us for an entertaining afternoon featuring Latin jazz, delicious food, and a silent auction of original works by Latino artists to support Latino undergraduates. Make new friends, learn what’s up with Latinos at Rutgers, and take part in launching the organization.
Rutgers alumnus Frank Villafane will dazzle with his infectious Latin-Jazz piano con clave in the styles of Eddie Palmieri, 'Peruchin' Justiz, and Sergio Mendes.
