As Chair of the Rutgers University Alumni Association Board of Directors, Jim Rhodes announced the first elected RUAA Board Members and Officers during the Inaugural Alumni Leaders Council Meeting on Thursday, May 28, 2009. The RUAA Board of Directors consists of 20 men and women, with a wide array of expertise from a variety of different backgrounds, a true reflection of our diverse alumni community. BIOGRAPHIES
James Rhodes CCAS'94 resides in Westmont, NJ, and is currently Deputy County Administrator for the County of Camden. Among his many Rutgers University alumni activities, he serves as the current Chair of the Rutgers University Alumni Association Board of Directors, and as Past President of the Rutgers University Camden Alumni Association.
Christine Tiritilli DC'92 resides in Madison, NJ, and is currently an Attorney at Law with Bendit Weinstock, P.A. Among her many Rutgers University alumni activities, she serves as the current Corporate Secretary of the Rutgers University Alumni Association Board of Directors and as Chair for the RUAA Alumni Leaders Council Committee. Christine is also Board Secretary of the Associate Alumnae of Douglass College and an avid volunteer both on and off campus.
Maurice Griffin NLAW'94 resides in North Brunswick, NJ, and is currently Deputy Attorney General and Assistant Section Chief in the Environmental Enforcement Section in the Division of Law for the State of NJ. Among his many Rutgers University alumni activities, he serves as the current Treasurer of the Rutgers University Alumni Association Board of Directors, as a member of the RUAA Board of Trustee Nominations Committee, and the Alumni Leader Council Committee.
George Rears RC'89, RBS'95 resides in Mount Laurel, NJ, and is currently Senior Manager of Systems Development at Oki Data Americas, Inc. Among his many Rutgers University alumni activities, he serves as a current Board Member of the Rutgers University Alumni Association, as Past President of Rutgers Alumni Association, and as Chair of the Board Committee on Nominations. George was also inducted as a Loyal Son of Rutgers in 1994.
Liesje DiDonato CC'98 resides in Jeffersonville, PA, and is currently a Project Manager for Clinical Research Programs at Merck & Co., Inc. Among her many Rutgers University alumni activities, she serves as a current Board Member of the Rutgers University Alumni Association and as a Co-Chair on the RUAA Regional Clubs Committee.
Jason Goldstein LC'02, RBS'05 resides in East Brunswick, NJ, and is currently self employed as the owner of Jason Goldstein Theatricals. Among his many Rutgers University alumni activities, he serves as a current Board Member of the Rutgers University Alumni Association and is a recipient of the Rutgers University Alumni Meritorious Service award. Jason is also the first Vice President of Livingston Alumni Association, Chair of the LAA Public Relations Committee, and Chair of the RUAA Programming Committee.
Harold Kaplan RC'57 resides in Orlando, FL, and is currently Chairman and CEO of United Financial Group, Inc. Among his many Rutgers University alumni activities, he serves as a key, lead member on the Regional Clubs Committee and is President and Founder of the Rutgers Club of Central Florida. Harold was also inducted as a Loyal Son of Rutgers in 1996 and has been a class correspondent for Rutgers Magazine for 50 years.
Ian K. Leonard CCAS’00, GSC’01 resides in Camden, NJ. He is chief of staff for New Jersey Assembly Speaker Joseph Roberts UCC’77 and an elected freeholder for Camden County. Ian has been involved with University Senate and the Rutgers University–Camden Alumni Association. He recently created an endowment and annual scholarship fund at Rutgers to honor his late mother’s memory and service legacy. Ian was appointed by RUAA Board Chair Jim Rhodes CCAS’94 to serve a one-year term as an at-large board member.
Anthony Marchetta RC'71, GSNB'78, RBS'83 resides in Princeton, NJ, and is currently a Real Estate Developer, Professional Planner, and Vice President of LCOR. Among his many Rutgers University alumni activities, he serves as the Rutgers University Alumni Federation representative to the University Senate and as the Chairman of the RUAF Government Relations Committee. Anthony also served on the Rutgers University Alumni Association Implementation Committee and is a member of the Bloustein School Alumni Association.
Cecille Wycoco-Whipple UCN'06, RBS'06 resides in Newton, MA, and is currently pursuing MS Accounting in addition to her MBA '08. She is a Financial Project Consultant with RHMR. Among her many Rutgers University alumni activities, she serves as a Rutgers Business School Alumni Association Trustee and is an avid volunteer both on and off campus.
Cara Bufanio MGSA'85 resides in Butler, NJ, and is currently a Creative Director at MedForce, a Pharma/Medical Education company. Among her many Rutgers University alumni activities, she serves as Rutgers Alumni Association President-Elect and was inducted as a Loyal Daughter of Rutgers in 2003.
Timothy Farrow CLAW'99 resides in Collingswood, NJ, and is currently a Partner/Attorney at Law with Dash Baker Farrow LLP. Among his many Rutgers University alumni activities, he serves as a current Board Member of the Rutgers University Alumni Association and as Chair of the RUAA Board of Trustees Nominations Committee. Tim also served as Chancellor of the Rutgers Camden Law Alumni Board.
Kenneth Johnson ENG'66 resides in Cranbury, NJ, and is currently a retired Aerospace Executive. Among his many Rutgers University alumni activities, he serves as a current Board Member of the Rutgers University Alumni Association, as a member of the RUAA Alumni Leaders Council Committee, as Vice President of the Rutgers Alumni Association, and as Past President of the Engineering Society. Ken is a 25-year member of the RU Loyal Society, and in 2007, he was inducted as a Loyal Son of Rutgers.
Tamara Remedios RC'97 resides in Union City, NJ, and is currently self employed as the owner of Xplore Communications, a marketing & events firm. Among her many Rutgers University alumni activities, she serves as a current Board Member of the Rutgers University Alumni Association, the current Chair of the RUAA Communications Committee, and previously served as Vice President of the Rutgers Alumni Association. Tamara was also inducted as a Loyal Daughter of Rutgers in 2005.
Michael R. Williamson RBS'01 resides in Bordentown, NJ, and is currently a Pharmaceuticals Neuroscience Specialist with Bristol-Myers Squibb. Among his many Rutgers University alumni activities, he serves on the Rutgers University Alumni Association Alumni Leaders Council Committee and is serving his 3rd term as a Trustee Board member of the Rutgers Business School Alumni Association.
Carlos Dequina NCAS'89 resides in San Diego, CA, and is currently a Partner/Attorney at Law with McDonnell Dequina. Among his many Rutgers University alumni activities, he serves as a current Board Member of the Rutgers University Alumni Association and as a Co-Chair on the RUAA Regional Clubs Committee. Carlos is also the Co-President of the Rutgers Club of San Diego.
Frank Hundley RC'86 resides in Bridgewater, NJ, and is currently a Financial Advisor with Merrill Lynch & Co., Inc. Among his many Rutgers University alumni activities, he serves as a current Board Member of the Rutgers University Alumni Association and as President of the Rutgers Alumni Association. Frank is also very involved in the Colonel Henry Rutgers Society and the RU Loyal Society, as well as an active participant of the Rutgers Touchdown Club and the Scarlet R Club. He was inducted as a Loyal Son of Rutgers in 2006.
Charles Ivory CCAS'69 resides in Woolwich Township, NJ, and is currently Executive Director at Educational Information Resource Center. Among his many Rutgers University alumni activities, he served as treasurer for the Rutgers University Alumni Federation and as a member of the Alumni Board of Rutgers University–Camden Campus. Charles is also an active member of the Awards and Recognition Committee and the Rutgers University Alumni Crew.
Kate Sweeney CC'79 resides in New Brunswick, NJ, and is currently the Vice President for Investments at Smith Barney. Among her many Rutgers University alumni activities, she serves as a current Board Member of the Rutgers University Alumni Association and as Chair of the Awards and Recognition Committee. She is also an active participant in the Scarlet R Club.
Gloria Wormley UCNB'04 resides in Macungie , PA, and is currently a Family Services Specialist and Assistant Business Manager with Habitat for Humanity of Lehigh Valley. Among her many Rutgers University alumni activities, she is the founder and first club leader of the Rutgers Club of the Lehigh Valley and serves as a member of the Regional Clubs Committee.
