Rutgers Alumni Club of South Carolina

    Click here for the Rutgers Alumni Club of South Carolina Spring 2014 Newsletter.

    The Rutgers Alumni Club of South Carolina was organized in 1992 to represent Rutgers Alumni in the Palmetto State. Our objectives are to:

    • organize recruitment teams whose members represent Rutgers at most of the better high schools statewide;
    • create a club scholarship which each year awards at least $1000 to an outstanding entering Rutgers freshman from South Carolina; raise an endowment to fund and expand the scholarship program;
    • publicize news and events of particular interest to South Carolina alumni via a twice-yearly newsletter;
    • establish a special Rutgers University Award given each year to an outstanding junior at the two SC public boarding schools - The South Carolina Governor's School for Science and Mathematics in Hartsville and the The South Carolina Governor's School for the Arts and Humanities in Greenville; extend this award to other outstanding public and private schools within the state;
    • schedule gatherings and social events for local alumni at locations throughout the state;
    • offer the Club's hospitality to Rutgers athletic teams and visiting Rutgers faculty, staff or students.

    Scholarship Endowment Fund
    The Rutgers Alumni Club of South Carolina (RACSC) is following the lead of our fellow alumni clubs who have raised endowments to fund scholarships for first year Rutgers and Douglass students from their states.

    Establishment of an RACSC endowment fund would guarantee that money will always be available to provide at least one annual scholarship to an entering freshman from the Palmetto State.

    The campaign chairman for the endowment fund is Bill Buss RC'64. If there area any questions, he can be reached on 843-235-0668 or by email at Contributions can be made via check made payable to the Rutgers University Foundation specifying the "RACSC Scholarship Endowment Fund".

    Print this form, and send it with a check made payable to the Rutgers University Foundation, 7 College Avenue, New Brunswick, NJ 08901.

    Yes! Include me in the RACSC Scholarship Endowment Fund!
