Rutgers Hall of Distinguished Alumni
In recognition of alumni whose achievements in professional and civic life have brought honor to themselves and the university, Rutgers and the Rutgers University Alumni Association each year bestow the prestigious Rutgers Hall of Distinguished Alumni Awards. Another five exceptional alumni will be inducted this spring.

Douglas P. Boyd GSNB’68 is CEO of TeleSecurity Sciences Inc. and the holder of 13 U.S. patents. His pioneering research has advanced cardiac-imaging technology and explosive-detection systems worldwide.
Gregory Q. Brown LC’82 is co-chief executive officer of Motorola Inc. and chief executive officer of Motorola’s Broadband Mobility Solutions business.
Junot Díaz RC’92 is a writer whose 2007 novel, The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao, won a Pulitzer Prize, National Book Critics Circle Award, and Dayton Literary Peace Prize.
Alfred A. Edmond Jr. RC’83 is editor-in-chief of BlackEnterprise.com, senior vice president of Earl G. Graves Publishing Co. Inc., and a member of the Black Enterprise editorial board.
Margaret Marsh CCAS’67, GSNB’69, ’74 is a historian of medicine who has authored four books and numerous articles and reviews. She is also a University Professor of History at Rutgers–Camden.
