Making the Most of Rutgers Homecoming
RUAA Board member Bob Eichert RC'78 writes: "Tabling and organized tailgating at Homecoming allow chartered organizations to connect on several levels with their constituents and the broader Rutgers community. By participating, they are engaging volunteers to create, design, and implement their activity. Taking it a step further, the volunteers are attracting fellow alumni from their organization to participate and or view their activity. Finally, by taking advantage of the tabling/tailgating opportunity, the chartered organization has marketed itself to the general Rutgers population."
Best Practices: Collaborating with Other Alumni Groups
The RUAA encourages its chartered alumni organizations to partner on events and programs of mutual interest. Recent collaborations include the UCRNBAA and RBSAA “Rutgers at the Races” picnic at Monmouth Park on June 24 and the Rutgers Club of New York City and Cap & Skull Society Alumni happy hour on June 27.
