Life after college can be overwhelming. Whatever you plan to do nextstart a career, continue your education, move to a new city, or something else entirely—you are sure to face an obstacle or two on your path to success. Luckily, you're not alone!  This is a time of excitement and opportunity, and the Rutgers University Alumni Association (RUAA) is here to help. As a graduate of Rutgers University, you are automatically a member of the RUAA—for free, for life!

Find a chartered organization in your area where you can connect with other alumni in an unfamiliar area. Let everyone on the roads know you're a part of the Rutgers community with your very own "R" license plate. Keep in touch with old friends using the RUAA Facebook page. Reconnect with friends and classmates and follow the RUAA on our official social media pages:





But that's not the only place you can stay connected. The Rutgers Alumni Online Community is a free and secure social networking community for all Rutgers graduates. Stay connected with classmates, post photos, create a blog, share personal news, update your contact information, start an online group, and much more. Signing up is easy: Go to Ralumni.com, click "Sign Up," find your name, and reconnect. You'll need your RUID to complete registration.

When you sign up, you'll receive notifications about news and events in your area and field of study.  In addition, you'll be signed up to receive Think Scarlet, a monthly e-newsletter that keeps you up-to-date on the latest and greatest Rutgers news and events.

Rutgers Alumni Card & Alumni Benefits

If you are a new grad, look for your Rutgers Alumni Card in the mail this fall. In the meantime, you can start saving online right away by logging in to the alumni benefits site. On the benefits site, you can also see all the "show and save" discounts that will be available to you once your card arrives.

Career Services & Networking

Take advantage of the many programs and tools available to you from Rutgers Career Services as you begin your post-collegiate career, including the Alumni Career Network, job fairs, career counseling, and much more. Be sure to visit our events calendar at Ralumni.com/events for a complete list of upcoming career workshops, job fairs, and networking events.


If you haven’t done so already, be sure to activate ScarletApps, your Rutgers-branded Google account. ScarletApps is available to Rutgers alumni for life—but you must complete the steps below within one year of your graduation to be eligible.

Additionally, you can forward your @rutgers.edu address to any email address so that you receive all university updates in a place that is convenient for you. Sign up now to get the latest news from the university, exclusive alumni benefits, and information about upcoming events in your area.

How to activate your ScarletApps account:

1. Go to http://scarletmail.rutgers.edu.

2. Click on Activate Now and follow the instructions.

Once you have activated your ScarletApps account, you can set up your @rutgers.edu email forwarding by doing the following:

1. Go to http://netid.rutgers.edu.

2. Click on NetID Management Tool (login with NetID/password).

3. Click on the Manage Email Address tab.

As an alumni association member, you will receive three free copies of Rutgers Magazine per year. The magazine includes news about Rutgers alumni, faculty, students, academics, athletics, the arts, and much more. Have exciting news of your own to report? Fill out the alumni update form and let us know! 

Think Scarlet
Alumni receive the monthly e-newsletter, Think Scarlet. Log in to the online community to update your email address so you can receive the e-newsletter and find out about contests, upcoming events, alumni news, and more.

Volunteer opportunities abound for Rutgers graduates! Get involved with one of the RUAA's many alumni groups or regional clubs around the country and around the world, or participate in community service activities.

2014 Football Season:

Rutgers Athletics would like to invite all Young Alumni to join us for the 2014 Football season – our first year in the Big Ten. Young Alumni can purchase season tickets for the discounted rate of $193 (27% off of the general public face value). Young Alumni seats are available in the following sections: 110-121, 131, and 144. Graduates can maintain their Young Alumni status for the first five football seasons after graduation. Graduates from December 2009 through May 2014 are eligible. Eligible Young Alumni can purchase up to two season tickets at the discounted rate. Young Alumni tickets are not available online.
