This shotgun tournament tees off at 8:30 a.m. and includes many chances to win prizes, including a brand new car! Rutgers Living History Society Annual Meeting and Awards Brunch

The Rutgers Living History Society hosts its 11th annual meeting and brunch to honor its members, induct new members, and confer the 2013 Stephen E. Ambrose Oral History Award on Michael Beschloss. He is the author of nine books including Presidential Courage: Brave Leaders and How they Changed America 1789-1989. School of Arts and Sciences Presents: Artificial Photosynthesis: Your Grandchildren’s Future Energy Resource?

Will solar power be the primary energy source of the future? What is holding us back from becoming a solarpowered country now? What can Rutgers alumni do to help? In this overview of their collaborative research, Professors Charles Dismukes and Martha Greenblatt will discuss the effect of fossil fuel on climate, why solar electricity isn’t enough, and the strides they’ve made in using the process of photosynthesis to turn solar energy into usable solar fuel.

Bloustein School Presents: Smarter, Greener, Friendlier Buildings

We spend most of our lives indoors, and we spend a great deal of money on the buildings that shelter us. The latest efforts to produce smarter, greener buildings that perform efficiently and use intelligent controls can achieve great things, but only if they also enhance the occupant’s experience. Current research performed at the Rutgers Center for Green Building focuses on the theme of occupant behavior and energy efficiency. This discussion showcases the cutting edge of green building technology and demonstrates how innovative designs are becoming more user-friendly for occupants.

Let the bell of Old Queens call you to this special interfaith service of thanksgiving and remembrance. The chapel service, once a traditional element of the Rutgers educational experience, was revived more than 40 years ago for Reunion by the late Walter Seward RC’17. Now an interfaith service, you will enjoy the sounds of the Rutgers University Glee Club and the Kirkpatrick Chapel organ during this poignant ceremony.

A Conversation with President Barchi

Spend an hour with President Robert L. Barchi in Kirkpatrick Chapel as he discusses the historic developments taking shape at Rutgers and speaks about opportunities and challenges facing the university. Later in the event, President Barchi answers your questions about Rutgers.

All-Alumni Reunion Parade

Starting Point: Old Queens Campus
Follow the Alumni Band down College Avenue for the annual All-Alumni Reunion Parade. Admirers, parade watchers, and family members will be there to cheer you on as a proud participant in one of Rutgers’ oldest Reunion traditions. Rutgers dignitaries will greet alumni on the reviewing stand. Antique cars and other transportation vehicles are available for alumni who need a ride to participate.

Join Jorge Reina Schement, dean of the School of Communication and Information, as he discusses how broadband infrastructure and its availability have affected competition, innovation, and policy as we set goals for a high-performance America of tomorrow. While highlighting broadband’s many uses in industry, including healthcare, education, and public safety, the dean will also explore the hurdles that must be overcome when adapting broadband in diverse states like New Jersey and in rural America.

Scarlet Knight Reunion Dinner (all classes, all alumni groups)
